Government and public information collections

Published public material preserved for reference, public knowledge and documentary continuity.

The Library may collect published government documents, guidance, public information and other documentary material for reference. The authoritative current government version remains with the publishing institution or GOV.UH unless the Library record itself is the designated publication source.

Historical government publications should be preserved as historical editions rather than silently overwritten when policy changes.
